1.2x2.0x0.7mm 32.768kHz oscillator draws 1μA in operation

Micro Crystal designed a crystal oscillator in an advanced hermetically sealed package only 1.2x2.0x0.7mm, integrating the circuit together with the crystal to withstand harsh environmental conditions.

Aside the large supply voltage range it features a very low power consumption. In active mode, the unit draws as low as 1μA driving one CMOS load. Since the oscillator can also run in stand-by mode (drawing 0.45μA), the accurate frequency is available instantaneously with no delayed startup time, as it would be typical for an AT-oscillator. Factory calibration ensures an accuracy that is superior to solutions with an external crystal. The device operates from a wide supply voltage range (1.6 to 5.5V) across an operating temperature range of -40 to + 85°C.
